Worked Example

Your site attracts 100K unique monthly visitors, has a conversion rate of 2%, and customers average 3 purchases worth $1,000 lifetime. If only one metric improves, you generate more revenue — but it's not the best possible return.

Monthly Visitors 100K → 120K
Conversion Rate 2% → 2.5%
Lifetime Value $1,000 → $1,200

Tweak just one metric and revenue improves marginally. Tweak all three concurrently — as a coordinated engine — and the compounding effect is highly significant.
